WLD reader Judith Cain was out and about with her camera can captured her sunny walk through parts of West Leeds
She walked up through Batcliffe Woods (English bluebells at their best), down to the canal via Hawksworth Woods, along the canal to see a nesting swan, and back to Burley along the goit, brimming with wild garlic in full flower.
Sadly there were seven shopping trolleys, pushed into the water at the Kirkstall end.Â
Judith notes: “Nevertheless a beautiful walk through so much amazing countryside which we are lucky to have on our doorstep in the middle of Leeds. Even saw three different varieties of butterfly for the first time this year.”
