An independent Horsforth boutique has been named one of ten finalists in the Yorkshire Muddy Stilettos Awards 2026 – just six months after opening on the high street.
Knottinger, which launched in October 2025, has been shortlisted in the best fashion and interiors category, recognising standout independent businesses across the region.
Owner, Faryal Aslam, said Knottinger had quickly become a valued part of Horsforth New Road Side, building a loyal local following and receiving strong support from the community.

The shop celebrates and supports small handmade businesses by showcasing their products, championing independent makers and offering a thoughtfully curated retail experience.
The Muddy Stilettos Awards celebrate independent businesses across Yorkshire,
with Knottinger selected as one of just ten finalists in its category.
Faryal said: “We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received since opening.
Knottinger has really been shaped by the local community from day one.
“Being recognised like this so early on means a great deal to both us and the maker brands we host!”
“Now that we’re in the finals, we’d love that support once again to help take us
to the finish line and bring this award home. Every vote truly makes a difference.”
Public voting for the finals runs until 26 May 2026. Votes can be cast here.
