Bramley Baths is launching an exciting new programme of events this autumn, bringing a diverse mix of cultural, heritage and wellbeing experiences to one of Leeds’s most unique venues.
The historic Baths is aiming to establish itself as a distinctive events destination for Leeds – welcoming local people while attracting visitors from across the city and wider region, and cementing its role as much more than a swimming pool.
The new programme will feature a wide range of events for children, adults and families, including activities designed to engage audiences who may not traditionally connect with heritage or cultural venues.
Each event will draw on the Baths’ unique story as a place for community, social connection and wellbeing throughout its 122-year history, with more than a nod to its rich heritage as a dance and music hub.
Kicking off with a BSL Splash family swim event, which references the first swimmers at the pool’s opening ceremony in 1904 – a group of young Deaf children – the programme promises plenty of new experiences. Highlights will include special events with guest speakers, DJ sets and poolside pop-ups, the Baths’ own interpretation of Leeds Light Night, and festive spectacles inspired by the building’s rich stories.
The programme will also include wellbeing experiences, performances and creative events that celebrate the Baths’ distinctive spaces, showcasing the historic building in new and unexpected ways.
The programme forms part of #Morethanapool, Bramley Baths’ National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported project, which aims to connect more people with the Baths’ heritage and its important role in the life of the local community.

“The programme has been shaped around the ambition to make heritage more accessible and relevant to a wider range of people, celebrating local spaces through innovation.Â
“We want to welcome our regular community alongside people who may never have visited us before, creating experiences that are unexpected, accessible and enjoyable. We hope the programme will encourage people to see Bramley Baths in a new light, while celebrating the many ways this remarkable building has brought people together for more than 120 years.”
The events programme will run from September 2026 to January 2027, alongside the Baths’ ongoing programme of #Morethanapool workshops, talks, tours and activities, as well as its regular swimming, fitness and community offer.
