Pudsey-based engineering firm Sayes and Co has been awarded a £102,000 contract to carry out priority maintenance work at Farsley Farfield Primary School.
The company, which has a base in Richardshaw Road and dates back to 1931, specialises in heating, plumbing and air conditioning.
A Leeds City Council report authorising the expenditure said the Farfield works were a priority and are part of a £6.7 million package of improvements funded by the local authority across the city. The report added:
“The works will also ensure that the council is complying with its legal responsibilities with regards to health and safety legislation and maintaining occupant safety.”
Work is due to start at the school on 24th July with completion by 30th August 2019.
