All welcome to join the Incredible Edible Kirkstall team for a communal foraging walk through the Kirkstall Valley and Nature Reserve, writes Paul Long.

The walk starts at 3.30pm on Wednesdays September 21 and 28 from outside The Milford Sports Club on Beecroft Street and will last approximately three hours.

The walk is free and open to all but donations are welcome to help us create communal growing spaces and provide educational opportunities.

The walk takes a slow and relaxed pace to allow people to share stories and local history as well as a spot of foraging which are pointed out along the route. Don’t forget your camera and foraging basket!

On return we will then juice all the apples and demonstrate/share a variety of preserving/cooking methods.

For more information, or if your school or organisation is interested in foraging walks, please contact incrediblekirkstall@gmail.com.

Dogs are welcome and the walk is wheelchair accessible.
