Buffaloes Bulletin: Bramley’s charge continues!

By Paul Abraham

Another two matches played, and another two victories recorded with a 34-18 win at Castleford Panthers in the YML Trophy and an impressive 42-16 league victory at Illingworth

The victory in the YML Trophy saw the Buffs trailing 10-18 at half-time, but the half-time team talk worked and Bramley stormed to 24-0 second half score.Ā Ā

Hooker Lewis Johnson led the way with a hat-trick of tries.Ā Marcus White, Cameron McGill, Kieran McFarlane and Charlie McMurray also crossed the white line with McGill also kicking three goals.

Please read Andy and Devon Johnson’s full match report here.

Hosts Illingworth had no answer to the speedy backline as the Buffaloes ripped the defence at regular intervals.Ā

The tries were shared by Sam Marshall (2), Bryan-Joyce (2), James Clark, Kieran McFarlane, Cody Downey and Louis Morrison.Ā Goals were added by Downy (4) and Mroz (1). Full report to follow.

The victory at Illingworth moved Bramley up to fourthĀ position in Division 2 and had they not had to concede the match against Dodworth – which resulted in a two points being deducted – they would have sat in third.

As the Buffaloes charge continues the club will be looking to make it six wins on the bounce this weekend when they entertain Castleford Panthers at West Leeds’ Blue Hill Lane ground.

With the action starting at 2.30pm it promises to be another entertaining Saturday afternoon for the Buffs faithful.
