Community group All Together Armley have teamed up with British Gas to offer free energy efficiency and debt advice to local residents on Friday 27th January.
The event, which is being run in conjunction with British Gas Energy Trust, will be held between 10am and 2pm at Stocks Hill Hub in Chapel Lane.
An All Together Armley spokesperson said:
“Research shows 30% of people wouldn’t contact their energy company if they were in financial difficulty. Although 37% of people would turn to their family for help, 33% of people wouldn’t speak to anyone if they needed help.”
The event will show the range of support available to the public, not just British Gas customers. Representatives from Leeds City Credit Union will also be on hand to showcase the services they offer.
