A new tots football programme at Farnley Academy is helping children aged between four and six years old get on the ball.
The aim of organisers Primary Sports is to develop the footballing skills required for children to begin to embark on their footballing journey. A spokesman said:
“Each programme is tailored to each child’s individual needs, however, our coaching philosophy and beliefs remain the same throughout. Once a player has graduated from our tots programme they will have the option to represent ‘West Leeds JFC’.
“Football is best when players are having fun and on the ball, we strongly believe children develop more efficiently when ‘learning through play’. This means every session is designed so children are learning something new whilst having as much fun as possible. Children will remain engaged throughout all sessions ,either mentally or physically, meaning we avoid long lines of bored children!
“Our ambition to develop the child as a whole and not just their footballing ability, including educational ability, social skills, behaviour, attitude, respect and emotional wellbeing. Our unique coaching methods ensure children will become more confident with numbers and colours as well as learning to play as a team and respecting rules.”
