Rodley couple get on bikes in wedding bid

A young couple from Rodley have decided to cycle an impressive 127 miles on a tandem along the recently improved Leeds and Liverpool canal towpath.

Christopher Fennelly and Adelle Smyth live next to the canal towpath and will complete their challenge – in aid of Cash For Kids – using a cycle route that is right on their doorstep.

Fundraiser Chris said:

“Cash for Kids raises millions of pounds every year for local children and young people who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled and have special needs or who simply need extra care or guidance. Any support would be invaluable in maximising awareness for the cause”

Chris and Adelle, along with five other local couples, are raising as much money as they can for the chance to win a wedding with Radio Aire. The fundraising closes at midnight tonight (Sunday 19th February).

The towpath between Rodley and Leeds has recently been upgraded following investment from the CityConnect Cycle Superhighway.

To donate, text ‘Couple1’ with NO SPACES to 70808 which will automatically donate £5.
