Dear sir,- If you enjoyed Armley Festival on Saturday, and it made you think we should do more things like this, then please come and get involved.
Armley Action Team is made up of local people who have energy, enthusiasm and ideas; can work with other people to get things done, and are passionate advocates for Team Armley!
We’re one of many local voluntary groups, and of course we’d love your help, ideas, and your ACTION – but if we’re not your cup of tea, there’s dozens of other local groups who might be.
- We have roles in our reuse shop for kids – Bundles – Armley
- Roles in Yum – Community Fridge & Pantry
- We need drivers to pick up food for Yum.
- We need help to green, garden and tidy up Town Street
- Help to bring more creativity, mischief and fun to the area.
- We have roles on the Festival organising group
- There’s opportunities for parent/baby volunteering and for young people’s volunteering 14-18 yrs.
- Opportunities to help the sprouters (you might have seen Phil K’s stall giving away micro-green kits)
AAT works with other voluntary groups who’d love your help too – including Armley Library Project Team, Armley Helping Hands, Armley Common Right Trust, Friends of Armley and Gotts Park, New Wortley Community Centre, Climate Action Armley, Christ Church Upper Armley and more.
Armley will only be the place we want it to be if we build it together.

Thank you to local artists Jemima Spence and Tommy Egan from Assembly House for creating this beautiful painting of Armley Festival. Go Team Armley!
