Number one New York and Sunday Times author Lisa Jewell is heading to The Old Woollen for an event hosted by Farsley’s independent bookshop Truman Books.
Truman Books has secured Lisa Jewell for one of their popular ‘An Evening With…’ events at the neighbouring venue within Sunnybank Mills.
On 10 July, fans of the author, who has sold over ten million books worldwide, will have the opportunity to join Lher and find out more about her new page-turner, as well as gain an insight into her astonishing writing and publishing journey.

Kat Harrison, Truman’s new marketing and events manager, said: “We’re over the moon to be welcoming Lisa Jewell to Farsley.
“She’s considered one of the most consistently brilliant writers around and she’s been on our (and our customers’) wishlist for some time! To be able to give people the chance to meet a record-breaking author and enjoy hearing the stories behind the stories is fantastic.
“Our events have been proving right up people’s street and the community wants to support independent businesses. Being able to attract hugely popular authors to the village reflects Truman’s Books’ enthusiasm to deliver exciting events for them, alongside our books. We can’t wait for this one.”
Lisa’s new book, the addictive read Don’t Let Him In, will be released in July and sees a seemingly perfect man insert himself into a woman’s life with devastating effect.
Lisa Jewell’s first novel, ‘Ralph’s Party’, was published in 1999 and was the best-selling debut novel of the year. Since then, Lisa has published another 22 novels, most lately a number of dark, psychological thrillers, including the evocative Then She Was Gone, the gripping The Family Upstairs and the nail-biting None of This is True.
