Six houses could be built on the site of a family-run removal company in Pudsey.

Plans gave been submitted to build the houses on the site of the EB Hill & Sons removal company at the junction of Fartown and Bankhouse Lane. Access to the development would be by Bankhouse Lane.

A design and access statement by architects Plot 74 says:

“Our client is winding their business down due to a family bereavement and close family illness and they are looking to re-utilise the site as an asset. It is anticipated that the company EB Hill and Sons, will vacate the land on successful completion of the planning process.

“Our client wishes to develop the site for residential purposes which she feels is probably more in keeping with the immediate local area.”

The statement adds that the development will enhance the local area:

“… we have arrived at a development that partially utilises the existing dwellings with appropriate extensions and several new-build detached residences to create a small development of six properties.”

The plans can be viewed in full at Leeds City Council’s planning portal.
