Yorkshire Division 2 leaders West Leeds RUFC will take their unbeaten league record into the away
game against fourth-placed Pontefract in what should be a hard fought clash on Saturday, writes Glenn Broadbent.

Pontefract were relegated from division 1 last season and are hoping to bounce straight back. Both teams have been recording high point wins so far this season. With both squads at near full strength an entertaining afternoon should be on the cards.

Kick off at Moor Lane is 2.15pm.

West Leeds Second XV

Meanwhile, the second XV are at Bluehill Lane against Bradford Salem in the North and West Yorkshire Championship merit table.

Again the second XV remain unbeaten, sitting third in the table and look to move above second-placed Salem, who have played a game more than West Leeds. Kick off is 2.15pm.

Under 15s

On Sunday morning the under 15s welcome Corinthians from Middleton, with kick off at 11am.

Last week saw the newly formed team give their best performance so far with a narrow 7-12 defeat to Doncaster. The team are playing some great rugby and spirits are high.

Any parents wishing to introduce their children to the game are welcome on a Sunday morning. The club has a set of fully qualified coaches and an accredited child protection officer.
