Volunteers from the Friends of Wortley Recreation Ground held a community blossom tree planting and wreath making event at the weekend.
The tree planting took part at the Wortley Rec, with the support of Leeds City Council’s ranger service, while the wreath making took part at Highfield Methodist Church.
The Friends group was set up last year with the aim of actively improving the park through community events like litter picks, and secure additional funding.
