Photos capture Bramley Baths swimmers jumping into tenth anniversary celebrations

Swimmers made a splash at Bramley Baths this morning – as they jumped into the pool to mark the New Year and celebrate the tenth anniversary of the facilities becoming community led.

New Year’s Day 2013 saw the Grade II Listed Broad Lane baths, which date back to 1904, pass from being run by cash-strapped Leeds City Council through to community ownership.

The historic switch was marked by the first-ever New Year’s Dip, which went on to be a staple event for a number of years.

And today the dip returned, as the Baths looks ahead to a year of celebrations. At least one celebratory event is planned each month.
