Photo of the Week: New Wortley from the air

Check out this fabulous photograph from the air of ongoing building work at New Wortley Community Centre.

Work on the new £680,000 Big Lottery-funded centre continues to gather pace.

The photo was Tweeted to The Dispatch yesterday evening – and seems an apt choice as our first ‘photo of the week’ highlighting the positive stuff happening in west Leeds.

If you have a photo you’d like to share, email us at We’ll include the best on the site.

Meanwhile, the walking group at New Wortley is celebrating its first birthday with a special event today…
