Motorists are being urged to plan ahead due to an overnight closure of the A6120 Calverley River Bridge.
The planned overnight closure of Calverley River Bridge, on Horsforth New Road, will take place on Tuesday 14 July from 8pm until 6am.
The bridge carries the A6120 Outer Ring Road and requires essential repairs to help maintain its long-term safety and resilience.

A Connecting Leeds spokesperson said: “The closure is needed to temporarily install a safety barrier, road markings and a 30mph speed limit, ahead of major concrete repair works, primarily to the underside of Calverley River Bridge.”
A signed diversion route will be in place via the A65, A658 and A657. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for journeys and plan ahead.

Local access will be maintained.
The scheme is expected to complete in early 2028. It has been planned to keep two-way traffic running throughout.
This overnight closure, along with a further night closure to remove the temporary measures at the end of the scheme, are the only planned full road closures needed for the repair works.
- WLD reported last year that the bridge was set for a £3.5 million package of maintenance work and improvements.
