First Pudsey Scout Group has put in a bid to win £5,000 to renovate the scout hut on the corner of Greenside and Fartown.
The hut, which dates back to before the second world war, desperately needs improvements to make it better and safer.
Crime and community cleanliness were big community issues at last night’s meeting of the Bramley and Stanningley Forum.
A police and council led operation to clamp down on drug dealing and anti-social behaviour in four west Leeds high-rise blocks has led to two flats being closed.
If you’re of a certain age, you probably spent hours playing on Pudsey Park’s much-loved Steamroller, throwing yourself down the coal chute and clambering over its huge wheels.

Thousands of people flooded onto the streets of Farsley today for the annual Farsley Festival – and helped to set a world record at the same time!
More than 340 Pudsey residents have signed a petition urging Leeds City Council to install traffic lights at the junction of Cemetery Road and Richardshaw Lane.
The petition was started by resident Charlene Wanless, who is concerned about the safety of local youngsters crossing the road following a number of near misses.
Bramley residents can have their say on local issues at a regular community meeting next week.
A new contractor has been appointed to restore a run-down landmark building in Armley to its former glory.
But there are fears the stalled renovation project on the former Mike’s Carpets building stands on a knife-edge. It’s also feared that financing may be lost if there are further delays.
