Thousands of people flooded onto the streets of Farsley today for the annual Farsley Festival – and helped to set a world record at the same time!
A total of 838 people were counted wearing knotted hankies on Town Street at 1pm to set a new world record. Organisers will now submit the numbers to Guinness World Records.
Here are some tweets and photos from the event, which is run solely by volunteers and this year was run on a seaside theme. The event saw several tonnes of sand delivered to Town Street.
