Kirkstall Ward local election result 2021: Venner holds for Labour

Fiona Venner held her Kirkstall Ward seat for the Labour Party at this year’s Leeds City Council elections.

The count was held today in the First Direct Arena in Leeds following voting on Thursday. The delayed count was due to social distancing measures.

Cllr Venner received more than 3,000 votes more than second-placed Green Party candidate Victoria Smith, with 845 votes.

Kirkstall’s political make-up remains three Labour councillors.

Here are the results:

Reiss Capitano – Conservative Party 773
Thomas Alfred Edwards – Liberal Democrats 186
James Alan Ellis – Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition 72
Victoria Helen Smith – Green Party 845
Fiona Elizabeth Venner – Labour Party 3,922
