The organisation behind Kirkstall Valley Farm is aiming to cement its position as a centre for community wellbeing with a six-week painting course.
Kirkstall Valley Development Trust is teaming up with Lynn Armstrong, who has been a painter for over 30 years, to put on beginners’ watercolour and acrylic sessions.
Lynn has exhibited her work in various places across Scotland and Yorkshire and has taught both acrylic and watercolour for seven years.
The painting sessions will cover how to lay washes of paint in watercolour and landscapes and street scenes in both watercolour and acrylic.
Kirkstall Valley Development Trust CEO Adele Rae said: “We’re hoping to develop the farm as a wellbeing hub for the whole community, extending our offer beyond the community growing opportunities we’re so well known for.
“We always try to make our events affordable and are keen to support people in different ways.”
