Pudsey Greenside Primary School will receive a revamp, thanks to the installation of new UPVC double glazed windows and aluminium doors.
Proposals approved by Leeds City Council include replacing existing timber windows and doors with new uPVC double-glazed windows and aluminium external doors.
A design report submitted with the application states: “The proposed replacement of windows and external doors at Greenside Primary School represents a minor and appropriate development within the Pudsey Conservation Area.
“The works are necessary to improve the building’s performance, safety, and longevity while preserving its existing appearance and character.”
There had been one letter of support for the proposals at the stone building, which dates back to Victorian times and overlooks Pudsey Cenotaph.
