A £10,000 crowdfunder is hoping to spark local residents into powering a community sauna and farm in the Kirkstall Valley.
Leeds Community Sauna opened late last year ar Kirkstall Valley Farm – but is still running on temporary battery power, limiting their options.
A spokesperson said: “This spring, with your help, we can connect the farm to the electrical grid, and install new renewable solar energy at the sauna.
“A permanent electrical supply will mean safer, more welcoming spaces that can continue to grow and improve – allowing us to become an even more vibrant hub for our community.”

As well as supporting the community sauna, being ‘on grid’ would help improve security at the farm, as well as extend the growing season.
- Donations over £20 received by 7 May will receive an A3 risograph print, featuring an original illustration from artist Andrea Miranda.
- Donations under £20 will receive an A6 risograph postcard, featuring the same illustration.

Kirkstall Valley Farm is run by Kirkstall Valley Development Trust.
