People are being urged to get involved with their community and join a big spring clean of popular woodland in Kirkstall.
The Friends of Morris Wood litter pick will in Morris Wood on Sunday, 3 March 2019 from 10am to 1pm.
Anyone interested in attending should meet at the Kepstorn Close entrance to the woods. Litter pickers, bags and gloves will be provided, but attendees should wear suitable clothes for the weather.
The Friends are hoping to improve the woodland, which forms part of the wider West Leeds Country Park. Their aims include:
- Raising awareness and encouraging use
- Regular litter picks/clean-up days
- Restoring motorcycle barriers
- Wildlife surveys
- Footpath map
- Graffiti removal
