“I’m grateful for my journey” – former Farsley Celtic manager looks to the future

By John Baron

Former Farsley Celtic manager Pav Singh is looking to the future with optimism after leaving the National League North Club over the weekend.

Singh, who was also the club’s director of football and an executive director, stepped down after over two years with the club. He had taken on managerial duties after the dismissal of Clayton Donaldson in September.

Speaking to WLD, he has opened up about his thoughts on the future, emphasising the importance of family, self-reflection and his ongoing commitment to football.

“This has been an incredibly challenging period, but I’m taking time now to reflect and focus on my family, who are my biggest source of strength and inspiration,” Singh told WLD.

“I believe in the importance of being the best version of myself, whether that’s for my loved ones or in my professional role as a coach developer for the FA in the North East and Yorkshire region.

“That role continues to motivate me daily, and I remain committed to it fully.”

Looking ahead, Singh is open to exploring new opportunities in the semi-professional and professional game. National League and professional clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on the experienced coach.

He hopes his leadership at Farsley has enhanced his reputation as a resilient and strategic operator.

“I thrive in environments where I can help teams and individuals overcome challenges and grow.” he added. “That’s me – stepping into situations that demand resilience, strategy, and care. I’m open to discussions because I know that’s where I bring out my best.”

Farsley Celtic are now searching for their third manager of the season ahead of Friday’s game against Scarborough, which will be played at the home of Buxton FC due to ongoing delays in laying a new 4G pitch at The Citadel.
