A Horsforth pub is set to host a series of family-friendly events and activities over the Easter weekend
The events are aimed at giving residents something affordable to enjoy during the school holidays.
The Old King’s Arms on The Green will run a four-day programme from Saturday 4 April to Monday 6 April, including live entertainment, children’s activities and food offers.
The initiative includes a scavenger hunt across Horsforth, encouraging families to explore the local area, as well as an Easter egg hunt inside the pub.
The programme begins on Saturday evening with a Cher tribute performance, before shifting to a more family-focused offer across Sunday and Monday.
Sunday will see the return of “Singo” – a musical bingo event designed for all ages – while Monday’s Easter activities will include a Disney-themed quiz hosted by Quizerella.
The pub will also run its regular Thursday quiz in the lead-up to the weekend, with winners receiving tickets to the Cher tribute event.
Lyndsey Acaster, co-owner of The Old King’s Arms, said the idea came from recognising the pressures families face during the holidays.
“We know how expensive days out can be so we wanted to offer something that genuinely helps, with activities both in and outside the pub. This is about giving families a place to come together, have fun, and not feel like they’re spending a fortune.”
The Old King’s Arms is one of a number of venues contributing to Horsforth’s reputation as a community-focused area, with the town regularly highlighted for its strong local feel and quality of life.
