Pudsey Parish Church has fun holiday activities on offer for children and young people throughout August, writes Keely Bannister.
On Friday 16th, the church is hosting The Very Hungry Caterpillar Family Fun Afternoon from 12pm to 2pm.
Children will hear the story of the hungry caterpillar’s adventures on her journey to becoming a butterfly as well as enjoying games & crafts and eating a picnic that will be provided by Pudsey Parish as part of the event.
Parents and guardians are required to stay with their child throughout the event which is aimed at toddlers in school year 2.
Children are also asked to bring along a bear to join in the fun.
The event is free, but donations are welcome from those who wish to and are able to help towards the church’s work.
Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Holiday Club is being held from Monday 19th until Friday 23rd and the following week starting on Monday 26th and continuing through to Friday 30th.
The culmination of the holiday club will be performances of the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st.
The club is suitable for children and young people in school year 3 and upwards due to the performance element of the activities.
Participation is desirable throughout the full programme including both weeks and the two shows.
Cost is £2 per child per day with a packed lunch provided.
