Ladies from Leeds-based Breast Cancer Research Group held a gardening event in Horsforth on Tuesday, 17 May and raised £900 with money still coming in.

They had a full house and were delighted with the result.

Joe Appleyard, the plants supervisor at Tong, demonstrated how to plant up summer baskets and tubs and carried out a question and answer session.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped on the night and helped to promote the event (including West Leeds Dispatch).

Please note our next event is a charity coffee morning at Bramley Trinity Methodist Church, LS13 2EP, on Saturday, 2 July at 10am.

Come and join us for a coffee and enjoy the baking stall, tombola and bric-a-brac stall. All proceeds to Breast Cancer Research in Leeds. See you there.
