Fresh from its acclaimed account of the choral elements in the recent Leeds Town Hall presentation of Michael Morpurgo’s “War Horse”, St Peter’s Singers’ next stop is historic Fulneck Moravian Church.

The Singers are presenting a gala programme of Sacred Choral Music for Advent and Christmas at the Pudsey on Saturday, 1 December at 7pm.

Fulneck resident Dr Simon Lindley, Music Director of St Peter’s Singers, will be conducting this special performance in his 42nd season as the Choir’s Music Director.

The first half of the programme comprises Bach’s greatly-loved Cantata: “Sleepers, wake”, Holst’s Carol Medley, “Christmas Day” and Vincent Novello’s glorious setting of “Adeste, fideles”.

The second half consists of Part One of Handel’s “Messiah” closing with the “Hallelujah” Chorus. Entrance to the Fulneck Settlement is from the Roker Lane/Far Town end and there is ample car parking.
