Food re-distribution project launched in New Wortley and Armley

Words: Josie Armitage

In partnership with WRAP UK, New Wortley Community Association has received funding to pilot a surplus food re-distribution project in New Wortley and Armley.

NWCA also have a shiny, electric van on loan from Leeds City Council to kickstart the project.

They would like to hear from any local organisations, schools, churches, foodbanks, other community centres, pop-up food projects etc who would benefit from being a partner/recipient in the project.

They will be working with FareShare Yorkshire, Re-think Food and Leeds Food Aid Network to help re-distribute food across the local area. Funding from the project will come from the Resource Action Fund.
