Farsley Celtic will look to bounce back from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Trafford as they welcome NCEL Division One side Glasshoughton Welfare to Throstle Nest in the third round of the West Riding County Cup, writes Thomas Ritchie.
The Celts will look to regain their form following Saturday’s 1-0 reversal, which followed a 10-game unbeaten run.
Farsley reached this stage of the competition with an enthralling 3-2 victory over Liversedge in the first round, and then a second round bye.
This match will be a good chance for the management team to take a look at some players who haven’t had as much game time recently.
On a positive note, Ryan Serrant has returned from injury and is in contention to start tomorrow, which is a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s big FA Trophy tie with Southport.
Glasshoughton Welfare are two divisions below the Celts and currently sit 10th in their division, and have lost their last three games. Prior to that they had lost just one in their previous five and will be desperate to rediscover some form.
Glasshoughton Welfare have received byes through the first two round of this competition. They have no apparent injury concerns.
