Farsley Celtic will be looking to make it back-to-back wins on Saturday as Curzon Ashton visit the Citadel.

The Celts, who defeated Brackley Town 3-0 at St James’ Park last weekend, welcome, in Curzon Ashton, an in-form side who have won their previous two games, and a number of familiar faces.

2018/19 Northern Premier League title-winning manager Adam Lakeland returns alongside fellow title-winner Will Hayhurst, whilst Adam Barton, Jordan Richards and Sam Walker also now ply their trade with Curzon having previously been with Farsley.

But for Farsley, and Kian Scales, it’s all about focusing on the task at hand, and securing another three points to build on last weekend.

“I think first-half it was tight, Max has made a massive save first-half,” Scales said.

“Second-half we sort of got into our stride a bit more, played a bit more, got more possession of the ball, and when we got going that’s when the goals came.

“We kept a clean sheet, scored three goals so I think it’s a good away performance really.

“I was buzzing to get my first goal, as a midfielder that’s what I want to do, that’s how I want to help the side out, and I’m just glad I could do that.”

Looking ahead to Saturday, the on-loan midfielder continued: “I think you’ve got to look at it game by game.

“Brackley and Curzon might play different styles, but if we can learn things from the Brackley game, simple things in the first half, even in the second half, if we can learn little things game by game, and put it into the next one it will only do us good going into the future.”
