Big Easter Event returns to welcome community

By Will Munton

The Big Easter Event, hosted by The Oak Church, returns on 4 April for its fourth year, inviting the whole community to come together for a day of fun, creativity, and connection.

This much-loved local event continues to grow, bringing families and neighbours together in a relaxed and welcoming space.

This year’s event includes a bouncy castle, hands-on craft stations, and a full Coffee and Chaos play zone upstairs for children aged 0–5.

For those who want a quieter moment, a free café will be open throughout the day, serving hot drinks and offering a calm space to sit, chat, and connect.

Organisers say the heart of the event is simple: creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

“We love seeing people come together,” Will Munton, from The Oak Church, said. “Whether you’re coming for the activities, the food, or just a conversation, there’s space for you here.”

The Big Easter Event has become a firm favourite in the local calendar, known for its friendly atmosphere, creative activities, and homemade bakes.

Everyone is welcome. Families, friends, and neighbours are all invited to join in.
