Set the dates in the calendar because West Leeds gym, Xercise4Less, has some fantastic community initiatives happening during February and you can be involved! writes Ed Yates.
The award-winning gym operator, (based a stone’s throw away from Vue Cinema, adjacent to Walter Street) has kicked off a month-long fund raising mission to raise awareness about some fantastic causes that include charities ‘Anthony Nolan’ and ‘Brain Tumour Research’.
Anthony Nolan works to save the lives of people with blood cancer through their donor register, securing donations of blood stem cells or bone marrow to provide people with blood cancer and blood disorders with vital transplants.
Anthony Nolan conducts world-class research into stem cell matching and transplants, to ensure those in need receive the best possible treatments.
Throughout February, the Xercise4Less Leeds gym will also be donating £1 for every new member that joins the registry to the charity.

“Xercise4Less Leeds is delighted to be joining forces with Anthony Nolan. The work they do is incredible and this worthy cause is one which is close to our hearts, with members of the Xercise4Less team directly affected by blood cancer. We’re excited to offer gym members and the wider public the opportunity to come together and raise as much funds and awareness as possible.”
Every 20 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with Blood Cancer in the UK, and we hope this partnership will raise awareness of the disease, and how everyday people can help sufferers.”
