As part of Leeds’ concert season West Leeds residents are able to listen to a wide variety of bands in their local parks, writes Melinda Rudge-Prestley.
There is something special about visiting your local park and listening to a band, be it jazz, concert or brass.
Many people from all different walks of life enjoy nothing more than two hours sitting and listening to a band, a picnic and of course an ice cream.
Perhaps this is something we should be celebrating in the West of the city? There are lots of opportunities to visit our local parks and while away an afternoon.
Venues include Bramley Park, Pudsey Park and New Wortley Recreation Ground among others.
