West Leeds Dispatch April print edition postponed – but you can read (most) of it here

west leeds dispatch p1

These are unprecedented – and difficult – times we’re living through right now, writes John Baron.

As you may remember, we had spent a good six months’ planning to release a pilot edition of a printed community newspaper on 1 April.

Sadly distribution issues and some of our advertisers quite understandably pulling out meant this issue wasn’t meant to be.

But we owed it to the 20+ community reporters who had written articles about their community and taken photos to ensure the paper saw the light of day.

I’d also like to thanks our volunteer-led board for their work and support.

Below are 29 of the 32 pages we’d planned – some are unfinished (please forgive the occasional typo!), some events have now been cancelled and some stories may have already been used on this website.

We hope you enjoy the design of our masthead on page 1 – it was chosen by you – and we’ll be changing the website with a spring clean as soon as we get chance.

To view the paper, click on the image below and use the magnifying tools to read the pages.

We hope you enjoy – and, with a bit of luck, we’re still hopeful you’ll be able to pick up a print copy of the Dispatch later in the year …

  1. Hi

You don’t need a print version. Print is dead.

You’d be better investing the cost of it into PPC / SEO for the site.

The content is very very good; you just need more eyes on it
