Yarnbury swept past Hullensians, scoring 12 tries in total, with both Kennedy and Windridge-France securing hat-tricks at Springhead Lane.
After missing out on Yarnbury’s win over West Leeds, full back Max Kennedy made an immediate impact, crossing for a try within the first five minutes.
Winger Jem Windridge-France broke away and found Kennedy on the inside, resulting in an excellent score from Yarnbury’s half.
Quick attacking play saw Yarnbury notch their second try, with Kennedy again finishing in the corner. A superb conversion from fly half Danny Pound followed for a 0-14 lead.
Just 14 minutes in, Kennedy completed his hat-trick after some slick passing from a scrum on Hullensians’ five-metre line.

Hullensians responded with a scrappy try from their own five-metre line but failed to add the conversion, reducing Yarnbury’s lead to 14 points. Yarnbury centre Joe Pinnick was penalised for a high tackle, allowing Hullensians full back Craig Wallis to slot a penalty, taking the score to 8-19 in Yarnbury’s favour.
Although Hullensians began to mount a slow comeback, Yarnbury surged ahead to claim the bonus point try, with Windridge-France weaving through the defence to touch down.
He then chased down the ball on the wing to score his second try, clearly chasing another hat-trick. Following a successful lineout, Kennedy capitalised for his fourth try of the match, making up for his previous absence. Hullensians closed the first half with their second try, leaving the score at 13-36 in Yarnbury’s favour at halftime.
Yarnbury’s relentless try-scoring continued 10 minutes into the second half.
Pound collected a loose ball and quickly linked up with hooker and captain Alex Bennett, who took a couple of steps before offloading to Windridge-France for his hat-trick try.
Kennedy was soon on the move again, pursuing a second hat-trick, and just moments later winger Joshua Bateson crossed for his first try, with Pound successfully converting both scores.
Despite the lopsided scoreboard, Hullensians refused to back down, responding with their third try and moving closer to earning a try bonus point to avoid leaving empty-handed.
After contributing two assists against West Leeds, prop Finn Eastscott finally got his reward, combining brilliantly with Longhawn in the lineout and showing impressive pace on the wing to score.
Windridge-France wasn’t finished, claiming his fourth try as he pushed himself to catch up with Kennedy’s tally.
Yarnbury’s next try came from James Longhawn, who, although usually a flanker, found himself on the scoresheet as a winger with the pace he displayed. Hullensians added two more tries and a penalty to round off an extraordinary match, with a combined total of 112 points—the highest-scoring game in the league this season.
Yarnbury secured another emphatic victory and remain on course to finish their league campaign strongly.
They now return home to Brownberrie Lane to face Beverley.
Final score at Springhead Lane: Hullensians 35, Yarnbury 76.
