Volunteers at Pudsey in Bloom have put together their own commemorative bed as a  memorial tribute to the ending of the first world war and the soldiers who gave their lives during the conflict.

It depicts a soldiers homecoming after his service in the trenches.

Pudsey in Bloom chairman Margaret Lowham said:

“The template for the soldier and the poppies were supplied by the British Legion and the soldier was supplied by Duggie Brennan.

“Farmac gave wood for the building of the trench and Teal Signs designed and printed the sign. We would like to thank all of them for supplying their materials and work free of charge.”

The commemorative bed is next to Pudsey Community Hub (Pudsey Library).
