Police appeal for help to find missing Kirkstall man Shaun McDermott: UPDATED

UPDATE: Shaun McDermott has now been found safe and well. Police have thanked the public for their support in sharing the appeal to help find him.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Police are appealing for help to help trace a man who has been missing from a Kirkstall care home since Tuesday.

Shaun McDermott, aged 45, was last seen at the home at about 8pm on August 15.

He is on medication for a brain injury and there are concerns for his welfare.

He has gone missing on a number of previous occasions and is known to frequent the Horsforth area, including the park, the Hawksworth estate, Kirkstall Road and Burley Road.

He is white, 5ft 9ins tall, stocky, with a bald head. He has a number of tattoos on his arms and neck and a spider’s web tattoo on his head near to one ear.
