A former trampoline centre would be demolished and a new padel centre built, if proposals are approved by council planners.
Applicant Padelhaus (Leeds) Ltd has applied to demolish the former Jump Arena in Redcote Lane, Burley. The building has been empty since 2020 and is fire damaged.
It wants to build a new padel centre with five indoor courts, social space and changing facilities, along with three covered and two open outdoor padel courts.

Plans also include car parking, lighting and landscaping works to the site.
A planning statement submitted with the application states: “The proposal presents an excellent opportunity to introduce a rapidly growing sport to the area, while regenerating a long-vacant site into a meaningful community asset for local residents.”
The statement says the courts will be available on a primarily non-membership, ‘pay as you play’ basis.
“The development will revitalise an underutilised site, improve the visual appearance of the area, and contribute positively to the ongoing regeneration of the locality,” it adds.
The plans can be viewed in full here.
- Plans for 160 homes on the site were submitted in 2020.
