The cast and crew of Puss in Boots pulled off a tremendous dress rehearsal at Leeds West Academy yesterday (Wednesday) evening.
If you’ve got your ticket for Bramley Parish Theatre Players’ latest pantomime (Thursday to Saturday, February 19-21), prepare to have your socks blown off.
The script has plot twists galore, some cracking one-liners, and really well-written characters brought to life by talented local actors and singers.
The large cast of this fast-paced show ranges from eight to 80 and from newbie to semi-professional, and the big group numbers are a triumph.
Even the odd glitch became part of the fun because the actors had the confidence to weave it into the flow – although the director scribbled a note-to-self for later!
Expect goodies, baddies, hilarious dim-wits, a Puss and a Princess to be reckoned with, and six accomplished dancers who radiate joy.
This amateur show has charm and vitality, coupled with extremely high production values. The costume, set, sound and lighting teams deserve special mention.Â
These photos offer a glimpse of what to expect, but not enough to spoil the magic of live theatre, right here in Bramley.

- The Thursday and Friday performances, and the Saturday matinee, are almost sold out, but some tickets are still available, via: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/bptp. The show is performed by Bramley Parish Theatre Players.
