British Transport Police have confirmed the death of a man on railway lines in Kirkstall yesterday.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon (Monday).
In a statement, a British Transport Police spokesperson said:
“British Transport Police were called to the line in Kirkstall, Leeds, at 4.53pm yesterday (13 April) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended. sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The incident caused delays to trains in the area.
