Residents in Horsforth’s Hall Park ward will be heading to the polls, it has been confirmed by Horsforth Town Council today.
As WLD reported last month, the Hall Park seat became vacant following the resignation of Councillor Becky Heaviside.
At least ten registered voters in the ward needed to submit a written request to trigger a by-election.
The town council has today confirmed the by-election, if contested, will take place on Thursday, 7 May 2026 – the same day as the Leeds City Council elections.
Nomination papers should be submitted by Thursday, 9 April.

Hall Park is one of the wards represented on Horsforth Town Council, which deals with a range of local issues including community facilities, events and neighbourhood matters.
