Residents in Horsforth’s Hall Park ward could be heading to the polls after a vacancy opened on Horsforth Town Council.
The seat became vacant following the resignation of Councillor Becky Heaviside.

Local electors now have the option of triggering a by-election to choose a replacement. If at least ten registered voters in the ward submit a written request for a poll, a by-election will be organised.
If fewer than ten requests are received, the vacancy will instead be filled by co-option, with the town council appointing a new councillor.
Requests for a by-election must be sent in writing to the Returning Officer at Leeds City Council, Electoral Services, Civic Hall, Calverley Street, Leeds, LS1 1UR.
The deadline for requests is midnight on Monday, 23 March 2026.
Hall Park is one of the wards represented on Horsforth Town Council, which deals with a range of local issues including community facilities, events and neighbourhood matters.
