Hollybush launches £4,000 boiler repair appeal

An emergency £4,000 appeal has been launched to replace a broken boiler at Hollybush Conservation Centre in Kirkstall.

Hollybush’s eco wood pellet boiler broke down in the week before Christmas, leaving the organisation with a hefty bill to repair it.

The organisation’s crowdfunding page said: “Like many charities, Hollybush has been facing significant financial challenges this year. At the same time, the services that our centre provides are more vital than ever as the people we support are disproportionately impacted by the rising cost of living.

“It is hard to see how we are going to be able to cover this unexpected cost, so we are left with no option other than reaching out and asking for your help.

“Any donation will make a difference, big or small. If you are unable to make a donation at this time, we would appreciate it if you could share this appeal to help us keep Hollybush running in the New Year.

“We are so proud of the work that the Hollybush community does. We hate to ask, especially in the lead up to Christmas, but are so grateful for any support you can give.”

The crowdfunder can be found here.
