Get dancing with DAZL activities for young people across West Leeds

Love to dance and perform? Dance Action Zone Leeds runs dance sessions for young people all across West Leeds and are always looking for more people to get involved.

Qualified, professional dance teachers from DAZL run affordable and fun classes at:

DAZL Bramley Group

Fun pom pom and cheer classes run at Bramley Community Centre on Fridays, 4-6pm. Admission £2 for one session, £4 for TWO.

DAZL Farnley Group

Enjoy fun hip hop classes for ages 5+ at Hillside Hall in Cross Lane every Monday, 4.45pm.

DAZL Swinnow Group

Streetdance classes for ages 5-7 and over 8s at Swinnow Community Centre, Mondays, 5-6.30pm. Admission £2 a session.

DAZL Wortley Group

At St John’s Church youngsters aged 4-7 and 8 to 13 can attend street and contemporary hip hop and pom pom sessions on Wednesdays between 4.45pm and 6.45pm.

DAZL Swallow Hill

A dance group for over sevens at Dixons Unity Academy in Armley (former Swallow Hill School). Every Wednesday, 5-6pm. Admission £1.

There’s the hosting of the website you’re reading now, running our popular e-mail newsletter, membership of independent press regulator Impress, attending summer events, paying for equipment etc etc.

And all that’s BEFORE we even think about paying something for people’s time – for instance, our editor puts in more than 24 hours a week in his ‘spare’ time to ensure The Dispatch publishes daily.

To put it bluntly, after nearly four years of daily publishing, we are not sustainable!
