Flats plan submitted at Pudsey pet shop

By John Baron

Plans to change a former Pudsey pet store to form six flats have been submitted to Leeds City Council.

The proposals – at Sharp’s Pet World on Clifton Hill – have been submitted by Mrs K Smith and include an additional storey, new windows to front and a new door to the rear.

Four of the flats will be accessed from Clifton Hill and two from Delph Hill.

A planning statement submitted with the application adds: “There is no car parking currently associated with the property.

“It was noted in the approval document for the conversion of the adjacent properties [formewr Shamrock pub] that the existing ‘on street’ parking was viewed as sufficient, however it is expected that due to the presence of the bus terminus and central location either public transport would be used, or bicycle for which bicycle storage lockers will be provided, or travel by foot.”

The plans can be viewed in full here.
