Parts of Farsley Town Street are closed to traffic this week – with bus diversions in place as work to replace the gas mains is carried out.
Work started yesterday and are due to continue until Monday 9 January.
B6156 Town Street in Farsley currently closed due to on-going roadworks by the junctions with Paradise Street and Cherry Tree Drive.

Metro have said that the works will lead to the diversion of buses in the Farsley and Rodley area.
- Services 8, 9 normal route from Horsforth to Rodley roundabout then via Ring Road to Dawson’s Corner, Bradford Road, Town Street to resume normal route and vice versa.
- A temporary stop will be provided on the Ring Road, near Rodley Roundabout, opposite the car wash at the site of the former bus stop.
- Service 16 normal route to Coal Hill Lane, then via Bagley Lane, Town Street (Rodley), Ring Road to Dawson’s Corner via Bradford Road and Town Street to resume normal route and vice versa.
- Services 16A, 88 normal route to Town Street (Rodley) then via Rodley roundabout, Ring Road to Dawson’s Corner via Bradford Road and Town Street to resume normal route and vice versa.
- Service 508 normal route to Coal Hill Lane, then Intake Lane, R Stanningley Road, Town Street (Stanningley) to resume normal route and vice versa
