Horsforth music lovers were treated to two days of artists and bands as part of Horsforth Sports Club’s Community and Music Festival.
There were 12 acts over the weekend playing a variety of styles of music, as well as various other activities for adults and children and a selection of street food.
Claire Secker organised the festival and is a committee member at the sports club. She said they were pleased with how the event had gone.
“We’ve had a great weekend so far. Really busy last night, really brilliant atmosphere. Super friendly and community feel for it so that was great.
“The bands were brilliant, the music was brilliant and today is exactly the same.
“We’ve had a rounders tournament in the morning. We’ve had eight teams down playing rounders for Horsforth Rounders Club.
“That’s underscored with all the other things we’ve got going on- face painters, bouncy castles, balloon artists, cocktail bars. Horsforth Brewery has been down smashing it as well.
“So it’s just been crazy but it’s been amazing.”
Horsforth Sports Club posted on their Facebook page on Sunday to thank the community for attending, as well as thanking all of the staff, volunteers and bands and artists who had come together to make the event possible.
“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much to every single one of you who came down and enjoyed the community music festival at Horsforth Sports Club this weekend. It truly takes a village… and in this case, one absolutely unbelievable community!
“To everyone who came down to enjoy the music, the sunshine, and that special feeling of belonging — we appreciate you more than you know. Our little corner of the world really is a wonderful place to call home because of you.
“Here’s to many more great memories together — we can’t wait to see you at the next one!”
