Do you know someone who is making a difference to the Calverley community? Villagers are being asked to nominate their King and Queen as part of a fun community award.
Calverley Community Awards are an initiative by Creative Calverley, a non-profit, voluntary community organisation which holds events and runs initiatives to bring people together.
The aim of the awards is to recognise and thank those people who contribute to and make a difference to the Calverley community.
Nominations for the awards are open to the public. A shortlist of nominees is then made of the people who have been nominated most in each category. Voting is then open to members of the public.
Categories include:
- King of Calverley
- Queen of Calverley
- Best Street
- Best Achiever
- Best Achiever(s) (18 and over)
- Best Neighbour(s) Contribution to the Community
- Best Team or Club
- Best Place
- Best Place to Drink
- Best Place to Eat
- Best Cat Best Dog
